Sleeker, faster and oozing that classic wow factor!

Congratulations to Michael Hoult on this great achievement. The First Spirited 480 'Roam' has been launched in Tasmania on Wednesday the 15th of April. Chosen for its blue-water performance and sailing efficiency this design is sure to impress. The standard of work is extremely high for an amatuer built boat.

'Roam' has been fully customised by our office to the owner's specifications and executed beautifully by Michael to produce this stunning result. The interior sees a galley down in the Port hull leaving ample space in the saloon for a seperate dining and lounge area. Another important area Michael requested was a surf locker in the Port bow. This is a large space with racks to store his surfboards and includes a workshop area in the aft end.

The plan is to now address the final finishing touches to the boat before the rig is delivered. Michael is going to be using the boat in the meantime for short trips around the area.

This was the first kit to be supplied 6 years ago and its nice to see that its also the first launched!

Chris Downing launched his Spirited 380 named 'Tasha' last week on Friday the 20th of March. The project took just over 6 years part time with a stunning result. The finish is as good as a professional standard with a very high attention to detail and choice of fittings. Internally the finish is mostly satin polyurethane paint surfaces with some soft linings.

The interior design was customized with a separate walk-in basin area forward of the main head & shower. This has made space in the saloon for instrumentation and a neat hide-away locker for the TV. Another change was in the Starboard aft cabin which was made into a walk-in workshop area with provision for his bicycle with also the option of a fold-down bunk.

Chris has put a lot of thought into making good use of space with large slide-out drawers in the galley and also below the saloon seats. Another choice was to fit two drop-down windows in the aft saloon bulkhead which opens up this flow-through area substantially together with the main door.

We were lucky enough to be present for the launching which went very smoothly with an almost perfect venue for this event. The trucking and crane company should be commended for their faultless service.

Congratulations to Chris and all who helped him on a fabulous achievement! Chris is awaiting the delivery of his carbon fiber rig and sails so we hope to see 'Tasha' sailing in the coming weeks.

We will keep everyone informed.

This 5m model is the first to be released in this range of designs. The range will also include a 5.5m, 6m and a 6.5m. All will be trailerable and will have a half-cabin as standard. This range will all be powered by twin outboard engines of varying sizes. The designs can be supplied as a kit package or DIY plans. The kit can be easily customized by our office or changes can be made by the builder on-site. The half-cabin includes fixed front windows in acrylic or toughened glass for maximum protection. The kit package is still being finalized but the material options are as per the Ripple range of designs with a choice of Gaboon plywood, plain foam or Duflex panel. Following the success of the Spirited 230 and the Ripple range, the 'Rapid' range of designs promises to be as popular.

Please contact us for more information about this new range of designs.

The Spirited 480 builder in Taylors Beach is very excited that he now has his cabintop on. This is a customised extended roof line for extra cockpit weather protection. The design works in well with the lines of the boat and will be extremely practical. Part of the customised features include a stylish helm pod with good vision forward. Once the roof has been permanently installed this will be the next part to be fitted. Even though the owner is only working weekends the progress has been impressive. We will keep you updated periodically.

This project for a client in Queensland is structurally complete with fairing almost done. The custom features include a full self-draining wet-deck with flush style fittings and a side access door in the hull.

The structure has been built from the Duflex foam kit and is promising to be very light in hull weight. This boat has been customized for wheelchair access and use. Extra reinforcement has been designed into the door cut-out with tension latches securing the door.

This is a great concept and size for not only a tender as this boat will be used but also as a fishing or day boat.

This exciting project is nearing completion with the structure and main spar done. We are now installing the fittings and finalising the finishing details.

The shell is resin infused carbon/foam with a decorative clear carbon Twill exterior. In order to achieve a good clear carbon finish on the outside and to also be able to infuse the part we had to make a mould of the boom. We created a plug in order for the mould to come together as a split mould which it then released from each side of the part.

This boom is for a Spirited 380 which will be fitted out with a new carbon fiber mast and racing sails. This will be quite a show piece once rigged and we can't wait to see it all come together!

SOLD

The owner of this beautiful Spirited 380 has instructed us to sell his beloved boat. We know this boat very well right from construction through to using her in one of our Sanctuary Cove Boatshows and extensive sailing trips aboard.

The owner is selling due to health reasons and is looking for a best offer. The boat has not seen much use and for the most part is in like-new condition. This is an opportunity not to be missed.

Please contact us if you would like more information.

The Hoult Spirited 480 project in Tasmania is getting close to launch with the painting now complete. Michael Hoult has reported that he is very pleased with the result and the paintwork is first-class. The target date for launch is March/April next year and we can't wait to see the first of this design on the water. Both inside and outside have been sprayed in high quality 2 pack polyurethane to a very high standard. The next exciting task is to install the deck hardware and fittings followed by the windows. Michael expressed that his enthusiasm is at an all-time high now that all the sanding is done!

We will keep everyone informed of any future progress that comes to hand.
